In our 12 years of work together, we have been through many personal and professional highs and lows, and throughout she has remained utterly professional, generous, compassionate, enthusiastic and engaged with everyone who has been part of our team.
In her years of working with me, she led the design and development of over twenty high-quality climate change reports, mainly targeting government audiences, and over time her role expanded from design to content editing, as she led each new generation of PhD students and postdocs to convert from their natural academic style to a more accessible and easily digested from of writing and graphic.
Among the many reports she supported, “Absolute Zero” rapidly became the most accessed resource released by the University, and by a combination of its content and professional design, became the topic of a full debate in the House of Lords in February 2020.
Fran has created several brands, including Tick Zero, 88 Pianists and ICTP2017. She was central to the creative delivery of several projects, including taking the creative lead on 88 Pianists, and the brand she created was a masterpiece of interactive public engagement. She also played a leadership role in the design and delivery of the ICTP2017 international conference, creating and managing all physical and website material, spanning from initial marketing, through all the many publications and communications required during the event.
